Cancer Fund Raiser
From Chabot...
We are creating a team for the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life at Burnaby Hospital between the Nuc Med department and Cardiology. You can find out more info at:
http://www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=144883&lis=1&kntae144883=53C0D207ADFB4E7A9A7349E2DB5617AE
Our team is called Kickass Kilauea Kampers and we are doing this to help Lisa, a cardiology tech at BGH, who's mother recently passed away from cancer. We are trying to raise $2000 for this relay by May 25th.
We're having this on April 6th, which is next Thursday, at the Mountain Shadow Pub in Burnaby. Here's the website: www.shadowpub.com
$10 gets you a beef burger and a beer or glass of wine.
thanks
Jeff

Ride
Saturday or Sunday? Sunday weather looks like it could be better, but in the interests of not turning into an old pussy, I'm just as happy to ride in the rain. It's supposed to rain Friday/Saturday, so the trails are going to be sloppy regardless.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
'The Lake Isle of Innisfree'
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evenings full of the linnet's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear the lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements gray,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.
-- William Butler Yeats

Friday
J can apparently get us free passes to Club Gecko.... some mexican bar/lounge/club.
Of course, I'd prefer the Newf, Doolin's, etc.. but lineups might be a bitch.
Thoughts?
