Neil and I spent a couple of hours working through it last night and got past one driver.

Game isn't that hard once you figure out a few things and get yourself one decent car. Of course, it took me forever to finish the last police chase, and I still haven't actually made it to 100% in career mode since I haven't bothered with any of the optional races or milestones.
